Hello! Well, I know you guys keep healthy by gardening and then best of all eating what you grow! I think some of the tips mentioned in the blog would help you guys think about portion control and loading up your plates with fruits and veggies. Keep your coffee and creamer and add in 30-60 minutes of exercise (gardening counts!) 4-5 times a week. As our metabolism slows with age we need to tackle weight gain with both diet and exercise to make any headway. I might also try tracking what you eat (either in a journal or some online program..SparkPeople.com?) for about a week so you can be accountable for meals and snacks and help you think more about portions and how they might add up.
